Magic comes from a line of Champion and Grand Champion AHTs. She has famous siblings who are well known in the show ring. One won Best of Breed at Westminster, the AHT National, has titles and holds records in dock diving and is one of only 5 AHTs invited the Westminster 2022. Another won Best of Opposite Sex at Westminster and the AHT National. Not surprising since Magic’s sire, Kane, is the most decorated AHT in history, from Rip It Up Kennel, owned by Patty Smith. Kane has all the first – first AHT to win at Westminster, first AHT to win an AHT National, first Gold Grand Champion, He was the first AHT to ever win an invitation and compete at the NADD Air Retrieve Nationals and the first AHT to win Breed at the Royal Canin National Breed show. Pictures of Magic's sire, Kane and dam, Beckett, GRCH Floridays Sand Castle Dreams are shown at the bottom of this page under Historical Floridays Kennel information.
The sire of this litter is Rodney, a very handsome dog from the prestigious Rip It Up Kennels.
Whether you are you are looking for a show dog or a forever family member this litter is the one to watch. Mercedes raises her pups right in her home just as we do where they receive an abundance of attention and socialization. The first 8 weeks are so critical to the development of a puppy’s temperament.

Floridays Kennel Historical Information Below
On Saturday, July 29, 2017, Beckett delivered 7 beautiful puppies, 5 boys and 2 girls. We have 3
solid black males with white feet, 2 white/black male piebalds (white with
black patches), 1 white/black female piebald and 1 white/blue female piebald.
(Blue is a steel grey in color). Mom and babies are doing very well. We are busy
weighing the pups 3 – 4 times a day, in grams, to be sure they are all
gaining weight. Sometimes we have to make sure the smaller ones get extra
time at the “milk bar”. All of the pups are active and thriving.
We have a few quick snapshots (see below). And we now have set up an album for each puppy. We will be adding individual pictures every week. The "Current Litter" page will have group pictures and if you put the cursor over the "Current Litter" menu you can access any of the individual puppy albums.
August 1st is a milestone date since we are expecting a litter of very special Beckett/Kane puppies. It will be Beckett’s 2nd and LAST LITTER. This will be the Floridays Margarita litter. Since the first Beckett/Kane litter was so magical, we decided to have this one last Floridays litter. Kane is the AKC #1 AHT, both this year and last. Kane won a history making Best of Breed at Westminster in February. Three, maybe 4 puppies are already spoken for and this was before we even made an announcement. We expect we will have 5 – 6 puppies. We love puppies. We are so excited.

Beckett, a UKC Grand Champion, is "GRCH Floridays Sand Castle Dreams". Click on the pictures below to enlarge.
The puppies' sire is Kane (below), a UKC and AKC Grand Champion. Kane is GCH "Bur-Way-s Trin 2 Raise some Kane". In AKC, Kane is the #1 AHT in the country. Kane has the most loving and outgoing personality -- a perfect match to Beckett.

About Us
This is Joanne and Mike Lima's American Hairless Terrier website. Our AHTs are family members that live in our home and always go with us when we travel in our RV. Danica is a Grand Champion and Beckett, her daughter, is also a Grand Champion. Competing in dog shows is a hobby, but letting Danica race is just for her because she loves it so much.
We are not breeders per se, but we have previously had 4 very special litters of AHT puppies, two in 2012, one in 2014, and one in 2015. These were all Danica litters (Danica is now retired from breeding). Since we needed a name as an identifier to be listed in the registered name of each of our puppies, we immediately chose Floridays. "Floridays", was the name of one of our boats (pictured below) as well as the title of one of our favorite Jimmy Buffett songs. When we took an early retirement, we spent much of the first few years cruising the Bahamas. The idea of "Floridays" was much in our minds and served as incentive for us to retire early and pursue our dream of cruising in Caribbean waters. We are so fortunate to have lived that dream. We had some exciting adventures and have very special memories of our boating years. Much of that mood is captured in the Beach Boys song "Kokomo".

The AHT is an awesome breed, high energy, very loving and incredibly smart. Since they are hairless, many people with allergies can have these dogs. Their skin feels like suede and requires very little care. Some of the puppies are excellent show quality dogs, but whether they become show dogs or family pets, our goal is to place all the puppies in special "Forever" homes where they will be loved and cared for just as we love and care for Danica and Beckett.
Our puppies are raised in our home and receive an abundance of attention and socialization which is so critical to the development of a puppy’s temperament. The Dam of previous litters is our Danica, a beautiful black, tan and white girl, ‘USR UFCH GRCH'PR'B'RIDGE'S SWEET DANICA DARLIN’. A Grand Champion herself, Danica, comes from a long line of Champions and Grand Champions. In addition to winning several Best of Breed awards, she has already earned Terrier Racing Titles and a Total Dog Award. Several of Danica’s puppies have already earned their own Champion and Grand Champion show ring titles. Beckett is Danica's daughter.
Our dogs have always traveled with us. Years past we spent much of our time boating -- both coastal cruising and in the Bahamas. Now we travel on land and continue to enjoy the company of our pets, Danica and Beckett.
Pictured below are our last two boats, the “Floridays” and the “Friendship”.

All of our puppies have gone to their Forever Homes! They are scattered from Florida to D.C., Indiana to Texas and Ontario to New York. Every one of the puppies loves people and is a wonderful family pet. Several of the puppies are also "show dogs" and have earned Champion and Grand Champion titles already. We wish them and their families happy lives together!
