Illustrated Breed Standard
- AHT's are descended from a single hairless Rat Terrier born in the early 1970's
- AHT's are recognized by the United Kennel Club and have recently obtained recognition by the American Kennel Club
- AHT's love people; they are "high energy" but love to curl up on your lap; they will bark at a noise at the door but will welcome guests enthusiastically; they will jump for joy when you come home -- no matter how late you are.
- AHT's don't shed and won't make you sneeze -- and it feels great to pet them!
- AHT's will attract admiring glances and comments from people you pass on the street
- AHT's are smart. They will quickly train you to play with them, hug and pet them, provide a lap for them, feed and water them, bring them toys and take them for walks -- in return they will give you unconditional love and a kiss on the cheek (and hand, and nose, and ear) -- so in the end, you will definitely get the best of the bargain!
